Appearance
Katsumi is
pretty slender compared to others and very feminine looking, making her look
out of place inside the squad. She has long hair that reaches her mid-back and
has a fringe that goes in the middle of her two eyes, not getting in her view.
Her eyes are sharp-looking with long eyelashes. Katsumi’s facial expression is
calm and without any other kind of emotion most of the time, making her look
more emotionless than what she is, in other word very collected. She can have
different emotions but only in some situation that trigger them. Her casual clothing
style is mainly composed of tank top and T-shirts who are either brown, forest
green or white, of grey or brown pants and of a dark brown jacket.
Personality
Katsumi is
very collected and mature for her age, sometime making her look older than what
she is. She was influenced by Annie for a long time, explaining why Katsumi
tend to keep to herself a lot but she’s still able to have good teamwork
compared to her adoptive sister. Being quite stubborn at times and not
discouraged easily, she will always see through a task until it’s achieved.
This also makes her very perfectionist in everything she does as well as very brave
when fighting the titans.
Katsumi is very observant and notice things easily,
adding that to her high intelligence level, she is able to come up with good
strategies with an overall look on a situation. Because she lost her parents by
her fault, she wants to do everything to keep those she cares about safe and sound
by doing anything she can or sacrifice anything she has. Katsumi believes that
the more you show certain emotions, the more they lose meaning, explaining why
she show clear emotions only at certain times. At rare times in company of
someone she completely trusts, she has a mental breakdown due to what happened
in the past. Her main reasons to join the Survey Corps are that she wants to
win against the titan and discover the mystery behind them as well as finally
being able to go outside the walls without worrying about being eaten by a
titan.

History
Katsumi
lived in a small house close to a forest inside Wall Maria with her father and
mother since she was born. Her father was an excellent hunter and even told her
that if titans were to ever enter the wall, he would be able to kill them.
Being fascinated by her father’s strong confidence, Katsumi wanted to be like
him and started training under him to become an excellent hunter as well.
One day,
her father returned from a trip to Shiganshina in order to sell some of their
catches and get some clothes at the same time. He told her that after talking
to a good friend of his (Yes, it’s Eren’s father), he got something that could
make sure that the three of them would be safe even if titans were to attack. At
first curious, Katsumi began to be scared when her father showed her a syringe
and told her that with that, they could be able to have a titan’s strength.
Katsumi could only look at her parents in slight fear as they started talking
about who should be the one with that power. Soon, both of them decided that it
would be Katsumi. Even with Katsumi’s protestation, her father still had his
mind set on giving his daughter this gift that could save them in a huge
crisis. Katsumi’s wish to stop her father when he injected the liquid caused
her to transform into a titan soon after the liquid was in her.
When
Katsumi awoke she soon noticed something was off. She could see the night sky
even thought she felt the wooden floor under her. She sat up and her eyes widened
in horror. Most of her house was destroyed but that wasn’t the worst. Just
under some large plank of her house, she could see two people covered in blood.
Shaking in fear, she slowly stood up and made her way toward what were possibly
her parents. Tears start to gather in her eyes when she saw the corpse of both
her father and mother or what was left of them. They weren’t recognizable
anymore, only the clothes covered in blood hinted that it was them.
After weeks
of walking, she fainted from exhaustion and lack of good food. She then was
found by Annie Leonhart and her father. During the year she was living with
them she got to learn martial art but that was all the contact she had with the
father. Even with Annie, she felt like there was something that wasn’t said but
she still got close to the other girl like they were sister. It was unofficial
but Katsumi considered herself as adopted, Annie was of the same opinion but
they never really asked her father about it.
Then, that
day came. The day the colossal titan appeared. Katsumi and Annie were able to
reach Wall Rose and get inside as refugee. During the five years inside Wall
Rose, quite a lot happened. Katsumi discovered the Survey Corps, something she
never got information of because of where she lived when she was younger. She
got fascinated with the idea of trying to get information on the source of the
titans as well as getting rid of them and decided that she would take part of
it in the future. But most of all, Katsumi discovered that Annie could
transform into a titan too. After talking to the older girl about how they
could transform into titan and also telling her her past, the two girls got
even closer. But even then, Katsumi felt that Annie was hiding something. It
was also that day that the two girls decided to join the military training to
be able to enter the Survey Corps for Katsumi and the Military Police for
Annie.
Abilities

Like Annie, she knows martial art but her style include more movements
like back flips and is mainly composed of kicks. She is very swift but she
lacks in power.

Katsumi is exceptionally great with the 3D maneuvers gear. Her skills
could even rivals with Levi’s. The young woman really enjoy the feeling of
flying and being free while using it, thus why it is so easy for her to use.

Titan Form Informations
Appearance
The Immortal Titan is a 13 meter
class with a body similar to the female titan. Some of the only differences are
that it is more slender and that skin is covering everything, like Eren’s titan
form. It has black hair that goes just below the shoulder and that hides half
of its face. The eyes are cat-like and red and the mouth resemble the female
titan’s one only with the difference that there is a clear longer separation of
the mouth, making it seems likes its always smiling from ear to ear.
Abilities
-The Immortal Titan’s regeneration
is far more effective than that of any other titan, thus making it earn its
name. It takes less than 10 seconds to regenerate a whole arm and only 2 to 4
second for a smaller part like the eyes and the fingers. This is why the
primary defense for the back of the neck is to swiftly change hands to cover
the weak spot if one of the hands is cut. Only 5 seconds is necessary to
regenerate one hand normally and only 2 if the regeneration is concentrated on
that part. However this comes with a great disadvantage since some of the traps
against titan are extremely useful because of the high regeneration time (The
trap they used against the female titan for example).

Trivia
-Katsumi thinks
that the name “Immortal Titan” for her titan form is far too exaggerated
-Annie doesn’t
tell Katsumi her goal because she doesn’t want her to be brought into the plan
since she would be against killing comrades. However, sometimes she ask Katsumi
to make distractions for her and even without having to tell to younger girl
her true goal, Katsumi still do it
-Katsumi
trust Annie with her life and would do anything for her since she is grateful
that she saved her when she fainted. The idea of Annie ever doing something as
horrible as killing her own comrades never crossed Katsumi’s mind due to her
faith in the blonde girl
-When
Katsumi see fire, she always remembers the sight of her house burning down
-In exceptionally
rare times when she has a mental breakdown, Katsumi actually wants to kill
herself
-She doesn’t
like to cry in front of others and when she if about to, she takes a deep
breath and close her eyes, saying she is only relaxing if someone ask her what
she is doing
-Her mother
used to tell her many stories about the world outside the walls, sparking her
interest and wish to go outside the walls
-She has a
hard time containing her laughter when she is besides Levi and ends up smiling
for no reason. She finds the fact that he is smaller than her hilarious since he
is such a famous corporal
-Annie
actually tried to convince her of cutting her hair telling her that either a
human or a titan could grab them easily, making Katsumi in a hard position of
struggling because of it. However, Katsumi wants to keep it long since her
mother loved to see her with long hair
